We understand that visiting a new place of worship with children can sometimes feel daunting, so we’re here to make your visit as simple, joyful, and welcoming as possible.
A Family-Friendly Environment
When you visit St Mary’s, you’ll find:
- A Warm Welcome for All Ages: Our congregation loves children! From toddlers to teens, every member of the family is valued and celebrated in our church community.
- Inclusive Worship Services: We believe worship is for everyone, and our services include opportunities for families to worship together. Don’t worry if the little ones get a bit wiggly—your presence is a blessing, and we’re here to support you.
What to Expect When You Visit
- Family Service: On the last Sunday of every month we offer an all-age Family Service at 10am, specifically geared towards families. This service is around 30 minutes long, combining Bible stories, singing, prayer, and teaching to help children connect with faith in ways that are fun and meaningful.
- Messy Church: On the second Sunday of the month at 4pm we have our Messy Church, where families are invited to take part in themed crafts and games followed by a group Celebration, and refreshments to finish.
- Comfortable Spaces for All Ages: Our worship space and facilities are designed to be family-friendly. We aim to create an environment where both parents and children can feel at ease.
- Facilities & Accessibility: Our Community Centre, adjacent to the church, offers changing facilities to ensure your visit is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Activities & Events for the Whole Family
St Mary’s offers more than just weekly services. Throughout the year, we have family-friendly events, seasonal celebrations, and opportunities for fun, fellowship, and learning. From family fun days to seasonal services at Christmas, Easter, and other special occasions, there’s always something happening to bring families together.
